What material would you want as a soaker for cloth training pants and why?

Microfiber or Terry? It will be covered in flannel so my son can feel the wetness. Which is more absorbant?
Trying to decide what to do....

terry will require more bulk for same absorbency I think....I'd try both...I've used both - no real preference here...

microfiber is pretty thirsty, but more and more I try to stay away from the synthetic stuff. I'd probably go for the terry.

Or my pick would actually be hemp, I think.
