sex after pregnancy/c-section

I hope it's ok to post this here. I am concerned because since I was 6 months pg, sex was painful - it felt sharp.
Now, 5 weeks post c- section we tried for the first time since the birth, and it was painful/sharp, and DH couldn't fit. It's like I've closed up or something. Needless to say it didn't work
Also, I'm still bleeding lightly since the c-section, but more than spotting.
any experience/advice?
my 6 week check up with the m/w is this Friday.

We waiting 12 weeks post dd ( 2 years ago) - vag birth with tearing,
I just went for my 6 week check up today- Midwife said to wait a few more weeks before DTD as I still have some scar tissue that is healing. ( another vag birth with tearing)
No what DH wants to hear.. but it sounds good to me!

We waited until 4w postpartum. The birth wasn't traumatic but I was a little apprehensive because my BF is well endowed. It was fine, my body feels different but that's been the case all year - many changes.

I think it's best to wait until your body feels ready. It makes me really angry and sad when women are paired with men who are insensitive and impatient. Not only is it disrespectful but it's not exactly an aphrodisiac. There are a lot of ways to be intimate with your partner that don't involve penetration. Or sex, for that matter.

I had a c-section with DS1 and had the same issue with it feeling like it didn't fit. The doctor said it is very common and prescribed something for me....sorry I can't remember what it was. Anyway, it apparently is very common. Your midwife should be able to help.
