Is this a good sign? RE: My Cervix

Okie dokie So I do self checks for dilation. For the longest, I couldn't even reach it. I had checked two days ago and still couldn't feel it. Today, I checked again, and felt it. It was by no means low, I still had to reach, but not anything like before. I was able to put one finger inside of the OS, and it felt pretty mushy and soft. The best I could explain it is as a floppy flower- lol. Anyhow- is this a good sign (including the floppy flower thing, lol)?

Thanks in advance Hoping my cervix is progressing normally this time!

Also, I'm about 35wks along.

Sounds promising! I'm 36 weeks now (well, in a few hours, anyway. lol.) and i was having the same problem reaching my cervix. Since i never checked it outside of pregnancy, i wasn't totally sure what it should feel like, but the couple times i found it, it was pretty firm and almost... puckery? Like puckered lips or something. lol. Last night, I finally found it again and it was sooooo soft, almost so soft i couldnt find it, and not puckery at all... almost smooth. So I'm assuming that I'm softening and effacing, tho if i'm dilated, it's very lil... maybe 1/2 cm? I know it doesn't matter at all (i never knew my stats before either of my previous births, my mws dont believe in checking.. smart ladies) but I'm mostly just so curious to see how my body is getting ready, kwim? Anyway, sounds lie you're seeing progress too! Congrats! Hopefully ya hold out a couple more weeks tho

I couldn't reach mine at all last pregnancy until 2-3 days before I went into labour- and it was about 1 cm dilated and very mushy and soft.

At 30 weeks, mine is still firm and closed I'm down with that.

Isn't EVERYTHING normal as far as cervixs go? (well, you knwo what i mean...)

Yep, cervixes are pretty here and there. You can be closed up and firm until D-Day. I'm just the...very...curious type.

Bandita- that's good Hoping I hold out as well. I'm sure I will. I posted that "where did my cervix go?" thread earlier on.. last week, I think. Anyhow, I really don't know how else to explain it other than the floppy flower, LOL. It usually feels puckered with a little dimple in the middle, so this is good.
