How to deal w/ the pain of vasospasms?

A little background on me. My DS2 is 7 weeks old and BF is going great except I get vasospasms. My nipples turn white, then purple before returning back to their normal colour in between feedings. It is excruciating! His latch is good so I don't really know why I am getting them. Is there anything I can take to help with the pain? Cold and my bra seem to make it worse but sometimes I need to go outside and wear my bra. Are there any herbal/natural remedies for it?

The main thing is to keep your breasts/nipple warm. So right after nursing have a warm rice sock or something to keep warm. Wool nursing pads are good to.
Hold the warm there until the blood flow returns and that should help a lot.

Taking B6 and magnesium is sometimes suggested, you could try that.
