Voted. It never ceases to amaze me how many people think you HAVE to spank to have a well behaved child. There is a happy medium people!!

My child is 7 and people are SHOCKED when I tell them he's never been spanked. Is it really that hard to imagine??

According to Babycenter.com, 49 percent of moms spank their children, but 75 percent say they think spanking is permitted in certain situations to a certain degree. Most were spanked as children themselves (81 percent) and know that it's socially unacceptable, yet they don't always know what to do when they're at their wits end. Interestingly, 37 percent of moms who spank their children started when the child was 12 to 23 months old.

I voted but the percentages were still horrible. I had to stop reading comments when I felt like vomiting. How can people think it is ever acceptable to hit a child?

OMG! scariness on that poll. it makes my heart sad for all those kids being raised by those parents who think it is OK to hit their children all the time.
