I have always wanted an outoor birth. I have had 2 homebirths but we lived in town and had close neighbors so an outdoor water birth was out of the question. Now, however, we live on 8.5 acres in the country. An outdoor birth is entirely possible.
The only possible problem is I'm due in July, and I live in the south. Which means bugs.
I am hopeful that I will have another early morning birth and the bugs will not be out yet.
In a perfect world, I will labor outside in the moonlight, then get in the birth tub that's set up outside. I'll relax in the warm water as the early morning birds start their song, and baby will be born as the sun peeks through the trees and our roosters start crowing.
Anyone birthed outside? Any tips you want to share?
