Which mama can I thank for . . .

. . .the idea of PUSHING during all contractions?

This completely helped! While I have been fortunate to have uncomplicated/quick/manageable labors, this was my easiest yet. When things started getting more intense this time, I used the advice from an MDC Nov. 09 mama to actually push during contractions. She was right-- this sense of purpose helped me so much! Usually I sort of "sink into" contractions and focus on welcoming them and feeling relaxed, which does help, but I think this idea of pushing was not only more helpful in terms of dealing with the cx, but also efficient!

So, mama, THANK YOU!

I posted about doing this during my labor. It was very instinctive on my part, but it totally helped me! I am glad it helped you, too.

Thank you, ED! I was so lucky this labor my cx were fewer than ever . . .I felt like I was sort of at a birth party rather than actually doing any work, but I think your pushing idea helped get things going!

Thanks for the tip. I am going to try it, when I decide to go into labor (whenever that may be, lol! Getting close to my due date!)
