Holiday gift ideas??

Thread Starter
Hi everyone~

Family members have been asking me what to give my son for the holidays. He will be 18 months old in December. What materials/activities would be good for his age? We are homeschooling...would Montessori materials like the pink tower be appropriate yet?

On another note, I would like to make him a present this year. Any ideas for simple homemade toys/materials/activities as well?

Thank you!

Practical life, practical life, practical life. A little broom, mop, apron, etc. Wooden stacking/sorting toys. Chunky puzzles. Beautiful stones/rocks that can be used for sorting, transferring, scooping, etc.

You are lucky! He has a birthday in the summer so you can replinish his "supplies" twice a year. With my son's birthday in December, I try to think of the big things that he will need for the whole year so I don't have to get as much stuff as he develops over the year. ;p
