Non-Waldorfy Dolls?

I am trying to find some sort of resource-samples, instructions, pictures of already finished dolls, something-for making dolls similar to Waldorf, in that they are fully squishy-but don't have the Waldorf appearance if that makes sense. I can't really explain why but I don't like the faces of the Waldorf dolls-but I can't seem to find the right sort of face. Everything I find is either Waldorf or made from plastics/porcelain.

I'm hoping to make my girls both a doll for christmas, I just can't find the right one

Do you dislike the tiny features on the Waldorf dolls? Maybe you could follow the waldorf doll pattern and then when it comes to making the face you could make bigger eyes, mouth and nose. I would probably practice the embroidery first, so you could figure out what you like and how to do it.

Yeah, that might actually work. I also don't like the really big indent in the middle of the face some have, but I've come across several that don't have a heavy indent like that. But yeah, a bigger mouth and eyes would probably make all the difference.

I totally agree. I don't like the tiny features, so I always planned on making them bigger when I finally make a doll. (Someday!) You should post a pic when you make your doll, I would love to see it.
