Tidbits :)

I don't know what else to call this thread! "Random updates on me"?!

First of all, I'm home...ALONE right now!! It's...weird! My husband took all three boys out to peruse the toy aisles (he swears up and down they won't buy anything...right!) because in 30 minutes I'm leaving...

FOR A GIRLS' NIGHT!!!

I'm very excited, I mean I get to go out with friends and be an adult! One of my friends got free tickets to a show at a comedy club near us, so we're all going together. YAY!!

Gavin still isn't really taking to the bottle, but he's going to have to figure it out because I go back to work on Monday BOOO!! The last time we tried though was two weeks ago when I had to take Connor for stitches, and Gavin grudgingly took an ounce or so. Wait, maybe we tried again another time, I can't remember!! Anyway, he takes just enough to take the edge off his hunger, then he chomps on his pacifier glaring at my husband until I get home Next week could be a rough week on my husband! He'll be staying home with the boys until January when his next semester starts.

I had my 6 week appt yesterday and the dr and I got to talking so much about what happened at delivery (the birth center turning me away and then how rudely labor and delivery treated me) that I didn't even get to ask him other questions (like about my cervix!) but he also didn't say anything to me, so I'm assuming everything is okay. He got really upset when I told him about my birth, he said he heard L&D nurses talking about me a few days later, but he didn' tknow it was one of his patients and didn't know that the birth center had turned me away (he wasn't on call when I delivered). He wrote it all down, apologized to me profusely (he's the co-director of the birth center!) and said he'll get to the bottom of it all. I'm going to call him in a week.

He didn't say, but I assumed that I got clearance for exercising, so I went to the gym today. Ahhhhh, to work out again!!! Felt SO GOOD! I met up with my old trainer, he complimented me on how good I look already, and I got to work right away. Because I'm still worried about having a bit of prolapse, I didn't run, so I did 30 minutes on the eliptical instead, then I did a bunch of core exercises like leg lifts, crunches, pushups on the balancing board, etc. My hips are a little sore right now, but otherwise I feel good

I'm jumping right back into working out because I signed up for Team In Training http://www.teamintraining.org/ and am running a marathon in May!! I'm very excited about it, I've never had a training group for any of the other races I've done, so this should be fun! I'm nervous about the fundraising I have to do, but I think I can do it. When I get my personal training page set up, I'll post the link. You gals can watch my progress and cheer me on (and maybe join me!!!)

Gavin slept for SIX HOURS a few nights ago!! It was HEAVENLY! Of course I didn't sleep for that long, I woke up to check on him He's my first baby to fully cosleep, Ian wouldn't do it (preferred his own space) and Connor wasn't medically stable enough to cosleep until about 3-4 months old) and it's SO NICE to be getting so much more sleep! I never realized how much less sleep I got when I had to get up to feed the other two! I didnt think it was a big deal, I had a comfy glider that I would sit in and often fall asleep in, but having Gavin in my arms all night is really easy!

I'm sure there's more stuff going on, but I only have 15 minutes before I have to leave for my girls' night, so I'm going to to put on some make up

At this point I am way more anxious for some better/longer sleep than for anything else. I have been out a few times with my LO to meet up with some other moms and this really fulfills my craving for adult time. It would be nice to have a little alone time with DH though. . .just not sure when/how that will happen. My in-laws are visiting but so far Noam isn't happy with them for more than 10-15 min--and that's with me near-by.

Oh well. Hope you had fun!
