Suggestions for high protein snacks that travel well, please.

What are some good high-protein snacks that could be taken in one's purse or backpack?

I'm a college student and need to have some snacks on hand throughout the day that are high in protein.

I keep a baggie of almonds in my purse. Maybe granola/protein bars?

I like to make a bunch of sandwiches out of peanut butter and honey mixed together and spread on crackers, and stack them in a small plastic container with tight-fitting lid. That keeps them from getting crushed as they would in a bag. They last about 3 weeks.

I often carry a container of nuts, sunflower seeds and raisins around with me.

Also, peanut- or other nut-butter sandwiches, with sunflower and or sesame seeds sprinkled in it.

If you have time to bake, you could make whole wheat, oatmeal cookies with seeds, chopped nuts, dried milk powder and even peanut butter added.

Hard-boiled aggs are pretty easy to transport as well.

When I was pregnant I would sometimes carry an individual package of protein drink powder, then by a small carton of milk (or even just water) to put it in when it was time for a snack.

Nuts, hardboiled eggs, cheese, and jerky come to mind. We have small little containers with snap on lids that we use to carry things like that around with us. I have used small canning jars too, and they've worked fine, but they are a little heavy.
