The ads that I have seen on the Webkinz website seem to indicate a "dumbed down" website for the little kids where their pet is confined to 4 rooms and an outside. Personally, I wouldn't bother. My four year old was perfectly capable of learning to navigate the full website. Why limit their choices?

The Webkinz Jr. site is very different from the regular webkinz site. My son has both a webkinz and a webkinz jr. **Edited to add my son is 4 years old
We find the regular webkinz site to be too busy and he gets "lost" in all the things there are to do. Also he is reading at a very beginning level so a lot of the stuff on the regular webkinz site is lost to him.
The Webkinz Jr. site is a simpler interface with a playground area, school area, a tree house where you can earn the kinzcoins to buy things for your pet, the doctor/vet, the store to purchase food, pet and house items.
My son can completely navigate the webkinz jr. site on his own with no problem and the activities are leveled according to how he performs. Anywhere from very early preschool skill to kindergarten to enriched kindergarten.
Anyway I just wanted to clarify that the two pets ARE different and what some of those differences are
