Not finding out gender before birth? - Page 2

This is my first and I am 41 weeks, so I still don't know. But I feel very close to the baby and like not knowing, like I can commune with my baby as a spirit, a person, before assigning it a sex and acting like everything I need to know about it as a person follows from that biological fact.

But then, I also think gender is a social construction and also wanted to avoid the over the top gendered pink and blue crap that is so overblown in the world of babies.

We didn't find out w/ any of our births. I had the BEST time imagining who exactly was in my womb each time and what he or she would like like. I was thrilled to have a little girl the first time and both times after that as well.
