Only 1 1/2 weeks until I return to work....I am so sad!!!! This is so inhumane. I wish that I could afford to stay home......My baby will be with papa, grandma and a friend at my house, lots of one on one contact .....But yet, he belongs with me!!!! We have not been apart more than 1 hour since birth. Anyway, any other working mamas going through heartbreak about returning to work??

I'm home for a while yet, but it will break my heart when I have to leave him. So I definitely hear you! Hang in there mama!

I am right there with you. I am a tad bit thankful that I did get a c-section because I got 8 weeks at home with my little guy. If not, I'd be at work right now. I am seriously cutting back on EVERYTHING trying to justify me staying at home or only going back part time. I wish I lived in Canada. I hear they get like 52 weeks of leave.

I quit when ds was born and never went back. It made us quite a bit poorer, but it was worth it.

I wish I could quit my job. Cut back to part-time after DS2 was born and that is probably the best I can do. No way we could manage without my income. I'm home until after the holidays and then I have to go back to work.

I have to go back on January 4th and I am dreading it. I have never had to put one of my babies in daycare this young and it seriously pains me. I know she will be well cared for, but it won't be by me, and that makes me very sad. We did the math and it just isn't possible for me to stay home right now.

I have always stayed home other than birth stuff and it sucks financially. Even though dh is an attorneyur cars are 7 and 17 years old, we have never had cable, didn't have internet until 2 years ago,I can count on 2 hands the number of new baby/kids clothes I have purchased for 4 kids,I get my haircut only once per year,we didn't both have cell phones till 2 years ago(dh work pays for his I have to have mine for work), our food budget for a family of 6(5 eating) is about $300 a month. It is so hard. I feel for all of you going back full time. Birth work is great most of the time. Moms usually birth at night and my dh is suportive and my mom lives near buy. I start doing prenatals a full day a week and teaching one night a week starting in Jan, but no actual births till March. Looking forward to it but not all at the same time.
