Beans for your LO

We fed our 7 1/2 mo old beans the other night...mistake. Big mistake. Poor little thing didn't enjoy the after effects at all. Is there anything I can do so we can feed her beans without the suffering? Is Beano an option for her?

She gets 95% of her food through breast milk still, but I've noticed when I consume beans, she has a milder, but still distressed night.

a big way to reduce the "gassy" effects of beans is to soak them overnight and then discard the soaking water before cooking.

When you cook them, cook them with a strip of kombu. The kombu breaks down the sugars that cause gas.

Out of all the beans I find chickpeas to be the least gassy. Maybe you will have better luck with them.
