I love tamari almonds. I wanted to make tamari-flavored crispy nuts, so I tried soaking my almonds in 2 Tbsp tamari in the soaking water, but they just tasted like plain crispy nuts when they were done. Still good, but not what I wanted.
Any tips on how to make them taste like tamari roasted almonds? More tamari in the soaking water? Spray with tamari after draining and before roasting? Spray with tamari after roasting?
