So, our family just got our first dog. I grew up with dogs, but didn't have a lot to do with their care. . .I just fed/watered/and let them out when they needed to go out. My family's last dog was pretty old, my parents stopped taking very good care of her, and she was actually euthanized 
because she had a tick infestation they couldn't get rid of (my parents were RVers and didn't clean too well once they got older. . .the place was full of ticks). Anyway, guess what I found today in my house? Yep, a light gray, almost white, very full tick 
on my kitchen floor!!!!!! So, what now? Our pup is 5 months old, a poodle, we do hike almost every weekend and on walks around our neighborhood she likes to walk through tall grasses. Should I use something like frontline? I tried her on ACV in her water (even just less than a teaspoon) and she wouldn't drink any of it. What else can I do? She does have a grooming appt for next week (her first), we bathe her with dr bronners baby mild once a week, we brush her daily.
