Because, jeez, some people never show immunity on those things.

If not, then it's just compliance to a medical procedure that they're after; there's no consideration as to whether or not the shot will actually "work" or not. Sick policy.
No, they said I would not have to get titers drawn again.

The person you spoke to might not be aware of exemptions, so I would check your state laws and go from there. If they are a public university they should have to accept it.
This is what my doctor said, that he would be happy to write me a medical exemption. However, when asking the nurse taking applications she said there was NO exemption on the MMR. I'm assuming that means medical exemptions too since we were discussing my egg allergy.

This is so confusing why they won't allow the medical exemption. Isn't this Offit's site? http://www.vaccineinformation.org/measles/qandavax.asp Even this site says:

"Who should NOT receive measles vaccine?
Anyone who experiences a severe allergic reaction (e.g., generalized hives, swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing) following the first dose of MMR should not receive a second dose. Anyone knowing they are allergic to an MMR component (gelatin, neomycin) should not receive this vaccine."

Most nursing schools have to enforce these rules to obtain clinical locations for their students. Since you can not pass nursing school without clinicals. You might be stuck. I would try to apply elsewhere and use old records, you doctor moght not have them, but if you went to public school, they might still have a copy of your shot records.
This is what she said, that I HAVE to have them for clinicals, that they must comply in order to get clinical locations.

I think I am going to call another docs office to see if they have my records...they must have been requested at some point? And even though I haven't been to that doctor in 10 years, they might still have them.

I've struggled with this, I didn't have access to my records, and had titers drawn. Result? No immunty, revaccinated x 4, still won't develop a titer. It was an issue for a couple clinical locations, and I was unable to work there.

No real suggestions, and yes, it is 'wrong' but it's a reality you should be aware of.

So...

They have absolutely no interest in your immunity status toward MMR. Only your vaccination status. Brilliant.
