If you quit shaving........

When did you get used to it? I haven't shaved my legs in over a month, and I would like to quit entirely. I'm pretty much used to the feel of it (although when the wind blows on my legs it feels like bugs are crawling on me), but I'm still not to keen on how it looks. And I'm fine with strangers and crunchy people seeing my legs, but I'm pretty uncomfortable with the thought of my mainstream family and friends seeing my hairiness. Eventually I'd like to quit shaving my underarms as well, but I'm just not ready for that yet.

So, if you went hairy after years of shaving....how long till you felt comfortable with the feel and look of it? How long till you felt comfortable with everyone else seeing it?

Thanks for your input!

I think it took me about a year to get over being self conscious about my hairy legs. I'll be honest, if I were to go swimming, there's a pretty good chance I would shave or at least buzz the hair with my boyfriends beard trimmer so it isn't so noticeable. I just took it slow and shaved when I knew I'd be around people who would notice. I got used to stubbly legs around them, then after awhile, I just went with the hairy legs. Same for the armpits. For me, though it's only an issue in the summertime since I practically always have on pants most of the year. So in reality, it was one summer.
