Acupressure points to encourage labor: Want to try? Know them or online resources please????

I am 41 weeks in a few hours. DP and I are looking for the points on the body to try to massage to encourage and bring on labor: acupressure.

Any visual or text resources available online? Do any of you know the points?

I just had an accupuncture induction tonight...no labour yet but I can help you with the points LOL. 1) The `webbing`in between your thumb and first finger (pinch and knead it) 2) on the inside side of your foot slightly below the big toe and slightly up and on top of the foot in between the bones of the big toe and second toe.

Also down at the bottom of your spine where your sacrum is rubbing all along the outside of the sacrum. There is also a point on the upper ankle so using milking motions on the ankle and big toe can also be beneficial.

HTH...speaking of which I have to call my DH upstairs and demand my foot massage LOL...we are trying to find the tipping point tonight so I need all the help I can get!

I tried some as I was approaching and then surpassing 40 weeks. Can't really say as they had any noticeable effect for me. I just did a search on Google and I think YouTube had some demos.

Let's see if I can remember and explain the ones I read about: There's one on the outside of your ankle, kind of in the tender part 1/2 way between your ankle bone and the Achilles tendon. There's one on the inside of your ankle, about 3 fingertips up from the top of the ankle bone. There's one at the very outside tip of your pinky toe. There's another in the fleshy part of your hand where the thumb and index bones meet. Another is 1/2 way between the shoulder and C-1. And lastly the sacral bone at the base of your back - it's kind of the flat bone that extends a couple of inches to the sides of your spine, just above the tail bone.

I concentrated on the feet and hand. Good luck - here's hoping!

There is one on the shin, about 1/3 of the way up from your ankle, as I recall. But nevermind, that was so long ago. I just remember actually noticing the contractions when my doula did accupressure there. Oh, here is a site that talks about them: http://maternityacupressure.wordpres...#acupressure-7

My DH (who has his acupressure certification) recommended this article:
