Can you freeze tofu?

My grandma is sick and not eating much these days. I wanted to make her some Cheddar Broccoli soup (which she will eat) but wanted to add protein. I was thinking about pureeing tofu and added it. I don't think she would be able to tell that its in there. If I make a big batch and freeze it will it be ok with the tofu?

I've frozen tofu many, many times over the years--have a package in the freezer right now. It thaws more crumbly than it went in, but that is usually an asset to me. The tofu will be just fine. Hope your grandma feels better soon!
