Help?

My nipples are very sore, and today I noticed big cracks in them. It makes it extremely painful to nurse DS. Is there anything I can do to heal them, or at least make it less painful to nurse?

sore nipples suck. Some more info will help us to help you. How old is baby? When did the soreness first appear? Any other pain or anything else going on? (pain deep in breast? Diaper rash on baby? Baby has a tongue-tie?)
Best way to get sore nipples to heal is to fix what's making em sore in the first place - so the mroe info you can provide the more help we can give

For now, here is a great article by Dr. Jack Newman: http://www.nbci.ca/index.php?option=...tion&Itemid=17

He is 10 months old.

They had been sore for about a week a couple of weeks ago, but it went away. This time, they've been sore for a few days. There's not really any other pain.

He hasn't had a diaper rash lately. When he was 3 or 4 months old, I had him checked for lip tie, and they looked at his tongue as well and didn't see that he had it. He had lip tie, but they clipped it right around the time they found it.

It's starting to get where they're getting stuck to my bras.
