Why I Love Cosleeping

Just wanted to share a happy cosleeping moment.

Today while I was attempting to get ds2 (14 months) down for a nap he was nursing and would look up at me, smile, and giggle. He kept doing this until he fell asleep.

Awww. Last night when I went to bed dd was laughing in her sleep, and I was thinking the same thing.

Awwwww!

I woke up yesterday to ds doing his "dancing" in his sleep. He had a huge smile on his face and was swinging his arms around the way he does when he "dances". Love it.

Last night ds squirmed around and let two big ones rip! Dh looked over and said "really? was that him?" We had a great laugh!

Sweet moments like that really make up for all the missing sleep, crabby days, and temper tantrums. I wish I had know about MDC with my first.

-waking up to kisses
-getting "raspberries" on my arm as she is falling asleep (or on my face, or neck, or yes on my breast!)
-waking up to her practicing her signs or words ("hi!" said "hiyee!")
-when she was ~6 months old, she sat up in the morning, started bouncing (that was her "i'm happy" dance) and with every downward bounce she would let one rip, all the while with a huge grin on her face
-the snuggles

i could go on and on.

My husband and I love it when DD does this, it's so funny. Especially the little smile on her face afterwards.

I also love the pure happiness on her face when she wakes up between her two favorite people or pops her head up over the bed from her little mattress on the floor. Or when she wiggles down off the bed and takes off down the hallway looking back at us like "comon let's go!!"

my husband is *not* a morning person at all - hard to rouse, I'm always up earlier, so its actually awesome to wake up next to someone SO happy to be up in the morning! Even when DS wakes earlier than I'd like (anything before 6am, he ranges between 5 and 7am) its hard to resist the huge grin he has on. He's even turned DH into more of a morning person w/ his charm.

This sounds like us! DH once referred to DD as the "slayer of the morning grumpiness"! I now let her doing the kissing-awake since he wakes up much happier that way than if I do it
