1st apt. update, argh!!!!

Okay so due to timing I kept my orginial apt. with the doctors that delivered my first by c/s. If you read my last posts you know the whole story, so needless to say i was apprehensive and defensive going in but somewhat hopeful as well. Before I even got one word out the doctor goes, "Well looks like we'll be scheduling the c/s for this one!" I'm not joking. I was 100% shocked...I was thinking he at least might have a somewhat lets wait and see attitude but nope. The apt. just further declined from there and I left pissed off and stressed when I should have been happy to finally see that teeny little heartbeat. So I will absolutely be switching providers and finding someone that will at least consider the option. He said that because of my narrow pelvic arch there was only a 2% chance that he thought i could EVER deliver vaginally. So off i go to ask for recommendations!

Make sure you bring your VBAC baby in to laugh in his poorly educated face, hmm?

2%. How arbitrary, lol. I'm sorry it was so cruddy, mama.

What a bummer...

But at least you know upfront and very clear that this is not the doc for you. 2% my hind foot....as if he would know. I just hate when % of chances are tossed in like that, as if they would know!

Anyway, onward and upward to the next one--keep searching!

I already have an apt. with a practice containing CNMs and OBs. I think I'll be in much better hands there. Now I just need to get my records from the last people!q

Great, hopefully they'll be better. Just remember--you won't know YOUR chances of vag birth until you are actually laboring, actually pushing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise--there is really no harm in laboring until it is clear whether or not you can push the baby out (not in a healthy, normal labor). And better for baby to get as much as possible of what labor has to offer!

Oh how aggravating! I can see how you must have been so annoyed walking out the door!

Look at the bright side...you found this out early enough to move on. Imagine if he'd strung you along only to pull this at 37 weeks or something.

Ditto that! Sorry you were exposed to such negativity and stress.
