In the last couple of months, dd (nearly 4 1/2) has not asked to nurse more than once a week, and she's now gone for over a week without nursing. My baby is so big!

She insists that she isn't done yet - that she could nurse again one day. But I think she's done.

I am a little sad, realizing that one of my parenting tools is gone.
Also, we've been nursing for her entire life, so the absence will take some getting used to.

Luckily we have a great bed time routine that is very reassuring and doesn't need to involve nursing.
