Save me from McDonalds

I had some dental work done yesterday and I'm very sore. I've been living on french fries.

I need something better for dinner tonight but it has to be
1) easy to eat
2) easy to get. DH will run and get take-out or groceries, but not until after work, so if its something that takes long to cook I won't get to eat at a reasonable hour and I'm starving.

Scrambled eggs? Pasta? Soup?

I second Zenzero's ideas. Many grocery stores have fresh soup near the deli and for times like this, the prices usually aren't horrible. What about pudding? Cozy Shack's ingredients aren't too bad. Fresh pasta that just takes a few minutes to cook--add a decent jarred or refrigerated sauce. Mashed potatoes from the deli? Macaroni salad? HTH and hope you feel better soon!

I had mouth surgery yesterday and have to be careful about what I eat. I had lots of mashed potatoes yesterday, some soup (with mushy veggies) tiny tiny tiny chunks of bread since I am not supposed to chew anything. I've also eaten a whole carton of Kozy Shack pudding and yes IT WAS DELICIOUS. I'm having fish tonight because it's relatively mushy and easy to chew as well.

Our grocery store sells mashed potatoes, soups, soft salads, etc. I would much rather be eating french fries personally but am not supposed to have salt for a week Good luck and hope you heal soon
