I have to active toddlers and I am due with #3 in Feb. I really want a sling or pouch I can BF in while on the go because, let's face it, I am being run ragged already and finding time to nurse would be a challenge!

Now, when I had my LO#2, I was given a simple pouch by a friend who measured my torso and said I would be able to nurse and carry sleeping baby. Well, baby could lay down in it, but that's about it. A year into using it we never figured out how to BF. Friend tried to show me how to use it, but whenever I put him in the position she showed me, he fell right out the bottom!

I really want to try this again, but the same sling would not work. I am about 5' 8", 150 lbs, with a long torso and 34DD breasts (pre-preggo sizes, mind you!). I need to be able to BF, carry baby while sleeping and awake, and pee without a hassle! Oh, and it needs to be quick to get on and off. Price is a factor, we can't really afford anything over $50. If I can make it myself, all the better! If this is a long list of demands, I'm sorry, and THANKS in advance for any advice!

You might want to consider getting a soft structured carrier or mei tai. Here's an article on positioning for a newborn. I find it really easy to nurse while they are in an upright position. I just wear shirts with a lower neckline so I can pull it down and no one can even tell I'm nursing. Lots of people also use ring slings, but it sounds like you might have an easier time with something else.

I really like my Sleepy Wrap. I've found it's easier to get on than the Moby Wrap. Takes me less than a minute. I didn't figure out breastfeeding in it until my daughter was a few months old, but that might be because she's my first and I wasn't horribly comfortable with breastfeeding in general until that point.
