Baby Ktan - talk to me about this.

Have any of you uised the baby k'tan before? or know anyone who has?

I've always used a nojo. It's been great through two kids form birth to toddlerhood. However, I want something new this time around. The padded sling hurts my shoulder after a while, especially once they get big, and it's not attractive (I know! Vain...oh well. ).

I've had a maya wrap before and while I like it a little better because the tail can cover the babe form sun, or it's easier to adjust, it hurts my shoulder fast due to no padding. I've also been very interested in a wrap, but I am so not a complicated person. I hate the idea of something that I have to wrap and wriggle into (I watched my friend do it many times and it just looked so not worth the effort), as well as finding the tied look bulky and unattractive.

Anyhow.. all that to say that I ran across the Baby K'Tan and it looks like a great wrap without all the wrapping.

I used one when DD was a newborn. I really liked it a lot for carrying her around the house and getting things done. I never figured out how to nurse in it, though, so it wasn't great for taking places (ring sling much easier to nurse in) - but thinking back on it, maybe it's not so complicated and I *could* have nursed in it given a little more practice.

I felt it was pretty supportive and the extra piece they give you works great to hold their head in place. I remember being able to bend over an empty the dishwasher hands free with DD in that carrier.

It's a little over-priced, IMO, but I liked it!!
