can I use sweetened condensed milk in pumpkin pie...

instead of evaporated milk? I have a can of the condensed, but no evaporated. I know the condensed has sugar already added, so can I cut out or decrease adding additional sweetener and make it work? Has anyone tried this? How did it turn out? TIA!

Sure you can. Not sure how much to decrease the sugar though, I'd probably start with eliminating it alltogether and then slowly adding it back in until it tastes right.

ETA - you could also sub cream in the place of evap milk.
