Around 5:30 I started having what I thought were BH just tight not uncomfortable at all. My daycare girl got picked up and we started getting ready to go to my ILs for DD late birthday dinner.
Around 6:30 on our way there I had a contraction that I had to breathe through. Still thinking prodomal labor I ignored it.
We sat down to dinner and I had 2 strong ones SIL had been watching the clock and told me they were 5 minutes apart.
DD had still not had her cake or opened her presents. By this time I knew I needed to go home and at least get checked.
I paged my MWs and we decided to leave the kids there so they could do cake and presents. DD was very insistent that she didn't want to miss the birth. I told her Daddy would come back to get them.
DH was going to take me home and go pick them up once my Mom was at home with me.
It was just before 7 that we got home and I started to realise that it was really labor.
The contractions were getting increasingly strong so I got in a hot shower.
The MWs arrived and checked me and the contractions.
I was 4 cm 100% effaced with good strong contractions.
I got into the tub and labored in there. DH went to get the kids but came back missing DD. He said she wanted to sleep over at Nanas and said I could have the baby another night.
DD has never spent the night away from me and I never wanted her to spend the night at my ILs for any reason.
By this point my contractions were 2 minutes apart and I wasn't in the right mind to say she needed to be home.
DS was so amazing. He was bringing me drinks in the tub, telling everyone to be quiet when mama was "making a noise" and telling me I was doing good
I started feeling pushy at the end of a few contractions. About 3 contractions or so later at 9:55 Colton was born into my hands and I lifted him onto my chest.
I came away without even a scratch.
It was an absolutly perfect birth

The only thing that I am upset about is poor DD. She cried all the way home and was not herself at all.
