Convincing DH NOT to vaccinate

Thread Starter
Hi.

I'm the blessed mama of three beautiful boys. DS #1 is mostly vaxed and had some reactions so we stopped vaccinating. DS #2 is partiallly vaxed and is done. DS # 3 is unvaxed and I want to keep it that way. DH said we could wait till the baby was three and then he wanted to see what the doctor said about vaccinating him.

Any suggestions for convincing DH that vaxing #3 is a bad idea? (I've read all the books and we have a host of family history issues from OCD and depression to arthritis and sensory issues....)

Thanks for any advice.

It's not your job to convince him. It's his job to research it enough to be able to discuss it with you so you can come to a decision together.

Yes to what zinemama said. Ideally both parents have a firm enough grasp of the issues to be able to have a discussion beyond relying on the doctors opinion. It's a lot of work and rather demanding. But worth it when it comes to making the best choice for your family.

Try to keep discussions with your DH focused on spedific concerns regarding the diseases and the vaccines.

It's not easy

yes to both posts above....

When I had DH I knew long before I was even pregnant I didn't want to vax. I did alll the research and DH has done none...I told him until you read what I have and we discuss it like adults, then DS will not be vaccinated.

He also trusts the research I have done share with him.
