An OB's perspective on induction. - Page 2

If that is real, it's just appalling.

In the hopes of keeping the discussion focused more on the disturbing questions raised by this site (such as the risks, benefits, studies, options associated with induction) and prevent a drift into speculatiion... it appears that this specific practice no longer offers obstetric care and instead focuses more on gynecology and related services. The web pages still "live" in the web but they are no longer active.

This would make sense. And I hope it's true. By the time a doc gets this controlling over how birth "has" to go, s/he is probably burning out and needs to get out of obstetrics entirely.

Catching babies is rough work. But birth professionals need to accommodate laboring women, not the other way around. If you can't deal with round-the-clock work and long labors, IMHO, you're in the wrong profession.

Beautifully stated. As a registered nurse and home birthing momma myself, I can say that I would not choose this provider for ANY care. Her disregard for evidence and best practices is terrifying.
