LED Christmas lights

I have found 1 type that I like...I dislike the blue hue of LED clear lights. They are crazy expensive. Is there a formula for LED to normal Christmas light comparison? I use 1200 lights on our artificial tree that we use every year. I need to know how many strands I should buy of LED.

Either way I will need to donate a kidney for these things... it gives a glow to our living room that has 22 foot ceilings...OHHHH, it is breath taking. And now, I think I am going to sleep on Home Depot's door step the day after Christmas to get them 1/2 off.

any help on conversion estimates would be appreciated.

If cost is the concern, maybe you could fall in love with some colored LED lights? They should be $6-10 a strand, which sounds pretty reasonable to me. The home centers have "demo" units to check out.

I have never heard of a conversion formula - light choices vary so greatly!

Or, just keep using the existing incandescent bulbs for a year, but reduce the hours of operation greatly. Target has some GREAT after holiday clearance sales.
