Felt and fabric mailboxes

Sooooo.. a whole year ago I wanted to make some felt mailboxes and came here and said I was going to, and I never did. LOL But just the other day I got the inspiration from this website:
http://giverslog.com/?p=2531

and I did it. I finally made a mailbox (actually 2) Here they are. They are not perfect and I didn't follow the directions exactly, (I never do), but I like them. One is for my boys for Christmas, the other a friends birthday. They are the same material though. Total cost was $1.50 each for some magnents. Otherwise I used everything I had on hand. I should mention, mine are not as stiff as the tutorial, because I did not have plastic canvas. Mine are pretty squishable, but I'm okay with that. I also just used a snap to put the flag on and it works just fine.

I love them!

Great crafting and I love that they were only $1.50 for you to make!

I've been tossing this idea around for a while as well, maybe I'll take the plunge some time in the next year or so too!

They're really cute, I'd say your boys will have hours of fun with them!
