Sanitation cycle on washer safe for CDs?

OK, I haven't CD'd for a while. I'm in the process of replacing the elastic on my FBs and a few months ago we got a brand new electrolux front loader, which I'm excited to be able to wash dipes in. It is NICE and it has a sanitation cycle. However, it gets REALLY hot on the sanitation cycle (machine heats its own water and after it is finished the load, the machine stays hot for quite a while!). My old FL was bare bones and I finally figured out a washing routine, but it was tedious and I still wasn't always happy with it b/c of stink issues. Is the sanitation cycle OK for PUL? I don't want to ruin my dipes, but it would be nice if I could use it to avoid stink issues...

I use that cycle maybe every 7th ot 8th wash Never have problems with either my diapers, or stinky diapers. Love it!

I think it probably depends on the quality of the PUL, but my understanding is that the PUL that most major manufacturers are using is medical grade which means it was designed to be used in hospitals that would require it to go through sterilization between uses. So I think it would be fine.

We use it on our covers every few months. The stains are greatly reduced. Highly recommend and I've seen no deterioration in any of them regardless of the brand.

Thanks ladies! I think I won't run it every time I wash, but maybe once a month or something.

Hmmmmmmmmm.......we've been using the sanitize setting on every load, but we don't have PUL dipes or and Electrolux. Maybe I should look into this more.......

I use it intermittently but agree that 1/mo is good.
