So my midwife's birth-partner came over to meet me and give me a second "hands-on" opinion about this baby. She also agrees that it's a 9-10+ pounder, which isn't a big deal, but we've all agreed that we can't let things go on without a little intervention.
I am 40 weeks tomorrow. She and I think I have extra fluid, which I had with my second. It means the baby isn't pushing on the cervix very much and so it's still a bit thick.
I started on internal evening primrose oil and tomorrow I will take the castor oil.
If my cervix were more favorable, they may have considered breaking my water but in current conditions it seems I'll be trying the oil.
I am a little nervous about it but all of the conditions are good with the baby and to see her get gigantic and post dates may be more problematic.
I really want this homebirth.....
