what kind of fitteds?

Thread Starter
I have been a fairly devoted pocket diaper user, but I'm recently branching out into fitteds and finding that my husband (who I had stuck with pockets for-- thinking they would be the "easiest") really likes them, as do I. We have hard water, which makes washing the synthetic fibers of the pocket diaper inserts a pretty meticulous affair. I'd like to be done with that since it doesn't seem to make a difference to hubby anyway.

I'm using kissaluv 0s on my newborn daughter and LOVE them, but I do remember reading on here that kissaluvs aren't usually absorbent enough for older/bigger babies. I've been considering Good Mama, Kiwi Pie, or Baby Beehind fitteds to replace my stash of Fuzzi Bunz (18 small, 14 medium, 2 large). Those are the ones I remember people really loving, but I'm open to other suggestions.

The biggest thing to me, aside from absorbency, is trimness. I love the trimness of our pocket dipes and I KNOW I'm not going to get quite that with fitteds + covers, but I'd like to find a fairly trim replacement. Is there a sized fitted diaper out there that is trimmer but still absorbent? Out of the 3 brands I mentioned above (Good Mama, Kiwi Pie, Baby Beehind), which is the trimmest?

Thanks for any input/suggestions!

I haven't tried Kiwi Pies but Baby Beehinds are trimmer than Goodmamas. But! They are also smaller and will not fit as long. None of the ones you mentioned are really trim--maybe someone else will be able to suggest a trim fitted. I do love Goodmamas though.

Econobum?

Anyone tried Econobum? What do you think of them?

Oops - I meant to put this in a new thread, not hijack yours! Sorry.

I LOVE the new BabyKicks Organic Fitted. Its a OS dipe, but actually fit my newborn wonderfully. I use them on both kiddos (14m & 9w). Super trim and very absorbent. You wouldn't know it's a OS by the way it fits. There is a review on Dirty Diaper Laundry if you'd like to check it out. I can't recommend it enough

You might want to check out the Little Beetles at www.betterforbabies.com I used them on ds1 and now they are restyled and even better than before.

BabyKicks organic fitteds, DryBees Gone Natural are both very trim.

If the person who bought Kiwi Pie from Maria kept the same pattern I would suggest it. Goodmama would be my second choice out of the three you mentioned.
