Title says it all....I'm having surgery on Dec 1st, general anesthesia, and DS is still nursing (mostly just at night / naptime)... how long do I need to wait before letting him nurse again?
He's certainly old enough that it won't kill him to wait a couple days if needed...but come bedtime, he might just think it will.... I can definitely see some tantrums if he's not allowed to nurse.

But the good news is that the lactation consultant was about 5 minutes behind my baby when I finally got to meet him (about 3.5 hours after he was born.) She had him latched on and nursing in no time. She knew I had the general and was working with the nurses and doctors that knew it, too. No one said a word about not bfeeding.
