DD is 4 months, and we have a good nursing relationship. The past two weeks, she's been very pop on/off, but then the last couple days she's been better about that, but nursing for very short periods (2-3 mins instead of 10 mins).

This evening, she was so fussy, I thought she was hungry, but she would latch on eagerly, then come off as though disinterested. She only comfort nurses if she falls asleep - she's not interested in the boob unless she's hungry - she takes a pacifier.

So I offered a bottle of pumped milk after a very short nursing session with a grumpy baby. She guzzled 2 oz in just a few minutes. She has about 3-4 EBM bottles a week, 2-3 oz each time. If I'm around shortly afterwards, she'll nurse well from me, as if she makes do with a bottle just to keep the hunger at bay.

Do you think she is teething, and it's less painful from a bottle? If so, should I offer this if she gets really grumpy, (at most I'll offer once a day) or will this hurt my supply?

Other differences the last few couple days - more spit-up, only pooping 1-2 times a day instead of 5-6, less sleeping.

Thanks mamas...
