Indoor plants

Hello. I have some indoor potted plants that do better without too much watering, but I find that the pot dries out too much. Is there a way to keep the pot moist without overwatering it? I do not have much of a green thumb but I love plants, so I would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

You can water from the bottom up... Pour water into the tray that the plant sits on, and it will get wicked up when the soil is dry. Then again, I mainly grow cacti. And my aloe loves my lack of attention

I'm a big confused how your pots can get too dry? Do you mean that the dirt gets that bone dry won't suck any water up dry?
