acidopholis following diarrhea in 8 month old?

Is it okay to give acidopholis to an 8 month old following an intestinal bug (5 days fever, 7 days diarrhea)? She seems to be over it but still has some super gross mucous-y poops, which I assume is because her gut flora has been completely decimated. She's 90% breastfed, and she's been eating yogurt now that she's feeling better (2 days, she was EBF while sick)....is yogurt enough?

It should be fine. There are special probiotic formulas made for babies. New Chapter makes a great one. Go to your local natural food store (if available) and check out their refrigerated supplements section. Also, opening a regular acidophilus capsule should be fine. Not sure about the amount to give though. Just make sure to check the ingredients.
