Okay I think this is the right place to post this. This may seem crazy that I am allowing this nonsense to occupy space in my brain but usually writing it down helps so here goes.....
The other night I was watching tv after lo went to bed and I saw a commercial that had a woman(of course)leaning over a counter peeling potatoes as if it was the hardest job in the world, and then you hear the voice over saying something about the dredgery of making homemade mashed potatoes. So then cut to the freezer where the now happy woman takes out a box with cut and peeled potatoes pops them in the microwave adds butter and milk and presto mashed potatoes "just like homemade". Now right after that commercial another commercial came on for I think Gerber baby foods and it stated that their commercial baby food in plastic containers was "as good as fresh fruits and veggies".
Now I had to refrain from throwing something at the tv. Does this bother anyone else that these companies have the nerve to tell us we are to busy to make mashed potatoes and that an overcooked/processed/artificially vitamin fortified baby food served in a platic container is as good as fresh fruits and veggies?? That our own health and our childrens health isn't worth an hour out of our day to prepare a meal for our families? I am outraged!!

at that mashed potato commercial the other day. Like it's SOOOO difficult. I made mash in under 10 the other day. Not difficult at all.

But, if I ever do I'm sure I'll make them from ACTUAL potatoes - peeling potatoes is NOT hard!!!
