Is it just me or are there a high number of our November babies that seem to be arriving very fast and with short labors?!!??

I noticed that, too. And I'm one of those fast laborers. What could it mean?!
I was actually wondering if I could attribute my freakishly short labor to consistently drinking rrl tea throughout the pregnancy. I don't know, though. Did any of the other quick laborers do the same? Or is it just a Nov. DDC thing?

Don't know. I did drink RRL tea, but not a lot and not religiously. My labor was about 4-5hrs from when I decided that those might be real contractions to when I held him in my arms.

I drank some RRL tea near the end but not as much as I did with my last preg. Both labours were 4.5ish hours start-to-finish after my water broke hours and hours before (36 hrs last time and 17 hrs this time). No idea why so fast - my mom was similar. Both came at 39 weeks almost on the dot, too. Makes me mad I consented to a c/s for high BP/big baby at 38 weeks with my first. If only I had held out for another week!!

I didn't drink any RRL tea, and my labor was about three hours from onset of contractions/water breaking to his birth. The speed with which he was born was really shocking since he weighed 11.5 pounds.
I attribute the speed to 1) being 3.5 cm and 80% effaced before going into labor, 2) contractions I may or may not have been having in my sleep prior to my water breaking, 3) and genetics - my mom had two 9.5 pound babies with short labors. I was born in about 8 hours, and my sister was born in about 3.
I had also been taking a tincture of black cohosh, blue cohosh, inmortal, and (I think) cotton root bark, as recommended by my midwife, so perhaps that had something to do with it too.

with Ds1 I labored for 45 minutes this time it was fast but to me it seemed slow it was about 4ish hours til he was in my arms. I did drink RRL tea and I took EPO but the last few weeks I stopped the tea because of how fast Ds1 was I also went to the chiropractor weekly or bi weekly also it would have been faster if Glenn was in the proper position he was trying to come face first and any position to move him was way to painful for me but he moved!!

I never expected to be one of the mamas with a fast labor this time, but I did drink TONS of RRL tea in the last few weeks. I was also so past my EDD (2 weeks) that I was making RRL tea very, very strongly (handful of leaf to only 2-3 cups water) b/c my MW said it can help induce labor. It didn't induce it for me, but yikes something made that labor go fast. Actually, castor oil probably had something to do with it. I really didn't want to, but at 42 weeks I was ready for baby.
I also used a little bit of black cohosh and blue cohosh, but at such a tiny dose i'm not sure it had any effect.

I have no clue if that actually had an effect, I have no way to compare with anything else, and I do know that my mom, grandmother and aunt have all been fast laborers also, so maybe that is more related to it that the tea. Who knows??
One thing is for sure, though, next time, I may skip the rrl tea, just in case!!!
