Silicone pacifiers, teethers and toys - ???

Thread Starter
I just bought a little toothbrush for my baby's new teeth that is made of silicone - it says that it is BPA, phalate and PVC free. But my husband is concerned about the fact that it is silicone. He said he, as a boy, used silicone sealant to seal his fish tank and all the fish died. Is there anything in or about silicone's use in oral products such as teethers, pacifiers and toothbrushes that may be something to consider before I use this?

I tried doing a google search but couldn't find anything regarding silicone except that it may be a better alternative than other materials that have BPA, phalates and pvc in them - ????

once cured silicone is almost completely benign. food and medical grade silicone is as different from silicone sealant as your rims on your car are from aluminum foil.

its as safe as you can get at this point until they come out with something in 5 years that says we have all been poisoning our babies again.
its really all just a crap shoot at this point i feel like. i have a hard time discerning what is safe anymore.
