I ordered a set, but had it shipped it to relatives to use at Christmas, so I haven't tried it yet.

I hope they're good

They are currently on sale so I ordered two sets (baby is due december 17). I hope they work well. I plan on using sposies for the first 2 wks or so cuz I don't think I'll be able to deal with a new babe, a five year old and all the additional laundry but I'll let you all know how I like them as soon as I start using them.

I'm very intrigued by these. I wish there was a larger photo of the prefolds on the site. I'm wondering how folding an Econobum prefold sideways is different from doing the same with a premium or standard prefold (the size that is similar to premium, but thinner). Is there stitching going both ways to facilitate easier folding?

updates? reviews?

I bought one and we're liking it so far, it's simple and is basically a cover and prefolds for a good price. The PUL is THIN (which I personally like) and stretchy and fits really well for us. The prefold is.... basically a prefold. Nothing special IMO. Works well for us and I actually really like the cover. I see that cottonbabies.com has them on sale right now for $7.96 - I think that's an AMAZING deal for a good cover by itself, but with a prefold it's a steal!

The only weird thing to me about the econobum is that one cover comes with one prefold - so if I wanted a stash of these would I have 10 covers and 10 prefolds? Really you'd need 10 prefolds to every 1 cover. Hrmmm. Luckily I already have 2 dozen prefolds so it would be weird. I got one Econobum and one Flip to try out so it's not like I'm building a stash of them though

That's great! Definitely the way to go for people who want a stash of Econobums!

Yes, basically the prefold is a regular prefold with 2 extra lines of stitching going width-wise. The prefolds are just slightly longer and narrower than my red edge GMD

Thanks--that's what I thought.

We've had ours for a couple of weeks now and I'm liking them. We have them in the mix with regular prefolds and covers too. I find the os prefold pretty bulky on a newborn (dd is 5 weeks old), but I just consider it super-absorbant. The PUL is great - thin, easy to fit. Sometimes I have to work to make sure it's tight around both legs because of the size of the prefold on her, but it contains leaks. I bought the package, which is a really good deal. When she grows bigger and they are not necessarily as bulky on her, I will likely buy another package, instead of other sized prefolds.

I just got an Econobum and I LOVE it!!!! Why did no one think of making a one-sized prefold and a one-sized cover to go together YEARS ago?!?

I bought the kit for DD on cyber Monday...they have been awesome! This is the first time I've used a pull cover, so maybe that's why I'm so impressed. She has to poo a lot for them to leak, and I've never had a pee leak. DD is seven and half months btw. I've been using them as night time diapers. The diaper can be soaked in the morning, but her cloths are dry. That is only using one per change.

We are trying them on my grandbaby that is 7 weeks 10lbs and 4 ozs now. So far we like it, it works great. The kit comes with 3 covers and 12 prefolds and the price is great.
