Oh my, I don't think I could choose. Maybe fresh guacamole?

ETA: Actually no, now that I've been thinking about it for the past half hour my actual favorite condiment that I think makes everything better is definitely sour cream.

Tough! I'd say guacamole, but I don't really eat it as a sauce or condiment--more like a side dish.

There is this restaurant by my parent's house that you can order guacamole as a side dish.

Just one? Yikes! At first, I thought aioli, maybe? But what about Thai sriracha (chili) sauce? I can't imagine roast beef without a really good, strong horseradish sauce, meatloaf without HP sauce, sushi without wasabi, or curry without mango chutney.

But just maybe, the creamy garlicky goodness of aioli edges them out just a little. That doesn't mean I'd be willing to give up any of the others!

DH & I aren't really sauce or condiment lovers. DD, however, LOVES sauces and dips!!! I don't think she could choose just one favorite, though.

If salad dressing is considered a condiment, then my new favorite item is earthmomma's homemade Ranch dressing I learned to make recently. I normally don't even *like* Ranch, but this is yummy!!! I wonder if I don't like most condiments because they are store-bought. Maybe as I learn to make more of them, I'll like them more....

Ketchup. Catsup. Whatever.

I can eat it on just about anything (grilled cheese and meatloaf, to name a couple). I also love how few calories it has!

Mine is still ketchup...and I know it is full of sugar and other junk...but I have a serious love affair with ketchup.

Whenever we have guacamole it's a main dish which is sort of what took it out of the condiment category for me

That why I always hated salad dressing, the store bought stuff is so yucky imo!

I love ranch as a condiment. I used to double dip fries in ranch and gravy!

Salsa. Doesn't matter which brand or temperature. I love salsa and it pretty much goes with everything IMO.

Sriracha or Garlic Texas Petes. Different foods call for different hot sauces. We have almost an entire shelf in the door of our fridge dedicated to them, but those 2 get the most use.

Hot Sauce!! We have a "hot box" we keep on the table with about 15 different kinds. YUM!

It is my standard house warming gift for like minded freinds. I find cool wooden boxes, decorate them and fill them with a variety of hot sauces
