State Laws...

Sorry for posting another new post so soon, but I can't find what I'm looking for.

I am looking online for what Kansas State Laws say about my rights of birth, the laws surrounding (such as if it is the law to get eye ointment, etc), so basically I know what I can decline, and have a specific law available to spout if needed.

Thanks for any help!

I will, but we are so inactive! Like no one has said anything in months! I just can't seem to get the hang of searching, and figuring out how to actually read the laws...

I found the page that lists all the statutes, but you have to search for the right one, and I can't figure out what to search for...I've tried newborn, pregnancy, and birth and couldn't find what I was looking for.

Your dr is supposed to immediately put the eye goop in unless you provide a written objection within 3 days of your baby's birth - and that written objection should be attached to the baby's birth certificate.

Just say you don't want it. You will get paperwork while at the hospital and you can just say you don't want that. I had a baby in Kansas last year and they really didn't make a big deal about it.

Thanks! Just didn't want to refuse something, and then be threatened with "it's the law, we can call authorities on you" and then me not knowing the laws!
