My DS is almost 10 months old, he is still nursing on demand during the day (about 4-5 x's during the day, and eating 3 meals). For the past two months (almost 3 months now 
) I have had almost a near constant period. Sometimes I will get a week or so break, but then it comes back full force and really heavy, sorry for tmi.
I have never experienced anything like this, and it is kind of scaring me to be honest. I do not have health insurance right now so I cannot just go into my OB unless I want to pay hundreds of $$ upfront.
I spoke with my Dr on the phone, he prescribed Aygestin and mentioned something about possibly needing an ultrasound and d&c. Obviously that is not possible for me since I do not have health insurance, I do not qualify for state aid.
I filled my prescription for the Aygestin and took it for a few days which stopped the bleeding, but I skipped a day since I did not like the side effects, and I read some not so stellar reviews about it. Skipping the day just made my "period" come back full force with a vengeance.
I am just so tired of this, and not sure if this is from breastfeeding or what. I bottle fed my DD's and my period was always regular.

From my experience I'd say that this sounds like a menstrual/hormone issue and not a brought about by nursing issue - usually nursing on demand results in the opposite to your situation. You may get more replies if you post in health and healing.
