Looking for a recommendation for a resource on Greek myths as a companion to The Lightning Thief

My dd has been invited to be in a book club that will be talking about The Lightning Thief. She's pretty unfamiliar with Greek mythology (although she can hold forth on the ancient Egyptian and Viking gods).

Does anyone have a great resource (book/website) that tells the ancient Greek tales?

D'Aulaire's Greek Mythology is probably just the ticket. An old favourite here.

D'Aulaire's is great, but even that might not be necessary... The Lightning Thief (and the rest of the series) does a pretty good job of introducing the Greek myths. We went back and read the mythology after reading the series, and we found that we already knew most of the myths we were reading just from the Percy Jackson series.

There's a Jim Henson Storyteller: the Greek myths dvd that you guys might like. We are reading The Lightning Thief at the moment.

My dd really enjoyed D'Aulaires, but I would offer the caveat that it's pretty intense, and she suddenly got very fearful at bedtime, imagining monsters in the closet. Maybe a coincidence, but it had never happened before...

We picked up one of the FanDex on Mythology. It is a great "quick resource". Simply flip to the person/thing/etc that you want to know about and you get an explanation, quick story, etc.

Bumping this up!

My two oldest dc are obsessed with Greek Mythology after the Percy Jackson series. Our library has about nothing there, and we've exhausted the interlibrary loan system.

I just bought them: the children's Bulfinch's, Tales of the Greek Heroes by Green, Bulfinch's Greek and Roman Mythology: The Age of Fable, Greek Gods and Goddesses (Dover Coloring Book), A Wonder Book: Heroes and Monsters of Greek Mythology (Evergreen Classics) by Nathaniel Hawthorne, "We Goddesses: Athena, Aphrodite, Hera" by Orgel, Ancient Greece! (A Kaleidoscope book), I Wonder Why Greeks Built Temples & Other Qs, and History Pockets - Ancient Greece.

And they liked the Jim Henson series. We watched it on Netflix.
