Is Brined Turkey OK for baby?

Going to a friend's today for Thanksgiving and she has brined her turkey... does the turkey really absorb a lot of the salt in the process? I want to let my 8.5mo old try it (he eats chicken) but I'm afraid it will be too salty for him. Thoughts?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, as long as you cook it first.

It really doesn't, and we brine ours every year. The meat really doesn't taste salty at all. Enjoy!

Not the slightest bit saltier than normal. I always brine my turkey, it turns out fantastic that way.

Yup, fine.
I soaked my 8lb turkey breast in brine overnight and it still wasn't too salty.
It really only makes the turkey moister and tastier, and crispier on the skin.
